Refund & Returns Policy

VanTon Arms is committed to fair and transparent business practices. This Refund & Returns Policy outlines the conditions under which returns, refunds, and order cancellations may be accepted. Due to the nature of firearms and related products, certain restrictions apply.

Firearms

All firearm sales are final once the firearm has been transferred to the customer through a completed FFL transaction.

  • Firearms are not eligible for return or refund after transfer.

  • Firearms that fail a background check or cannot be transferred due to legal restrictions may be subject to restocking fees.

  • If a firearm is refused by the receiving FFL or deemed non-transferable, the firearm may be returned to the original seller at the customer’s expense.

Firearms damaged during shipping must be reported prior to transfer.

Ammunition

Ammunition sales are final and non-refundable. Due to safety and liability concerns, ammunition cannot be returned once shipped or picked up.

Accessories & Non-Firearm Products

Non-firearm items such as accessories may be eligible for return under the following conditions:

  • Return requests must be made within 14 days of delivery

  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition

  • Proof of purchase is required

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method once the returned item is received and inspected. All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee and will be taken from the amount being refunded. 

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Firearms after transfer

  • Ammunition

  • Used or installed accessories

  • Special-order or custom items

  • Clearance or final-sale items

Restocking Fees & Undeliverable Orders

1. Standard Restocking Fee

All returns and exchanges are subject to a 20% restocking fee. This fee covers the cost of processing, inspection, and administrative overhead associated with returning items to our distribution network.

2. Refused or Undeliverable Shipments

If a shipment is returned to us by the carrier as “Refused,” “Undeliverable,” or due to an “Incorrect Address” provided by the customer, the following will be deducted from your refund:

  • The original shipping charges.

  • Any return shipping fees charged by the carrier.

  • The 20% restocking fee.

3. Order Cancellations

Orders are processed rapidly to ensure fast delivery. Once an order has been transmitted to our warehouse or dropship partner, it cannot be canceled. If you no longer want the item, you must receive the shipment and follow our standard return process, which includes the applicable restocking fee.

Transfer & Shipping Fees

Transfer fees, shipping costs, and background check fees are non-refundable once services have been rendered.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days after receipt and inspection of returned items. Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive an incorrect or defective non-firearm item, contact VanTon Arms within 48 hours of delivery. We will review the issue and provide instructions for resolution.

Compliance & Legal Considerations

VanTon Arms reserves the right to deny any return or refund request that does not comply with federal, state, or local laws. All returns and refunds are handled in accordance with ATF regulations and Iowa law.
