CZ-USA is the American importer for CZ firearms, a Czech manufacturer known for producing pistols, rifles, and shotguns with exceptional triggers, quality machined steel construction, and outstanding accuracy relative to their price point. The brand is particularly recognized for the CZ 75, one of the most beloved and copied pistol designs in the world, and the Shadow 2 competition pistol that has become one of the dominant platforms in IPSC and USPSA competition worldwide. CZ-USA’s bolt action rimfire rifles, particularly the 457 series, are widely regarded as benchmark precision rimfire platforms for the price.
Yes. CZ-USA produces several pistol configurations suited for concealed carry, including the compact P-10 S and the P-10 C, which are striker-fired designs that offer CZ’s characteristically smooth trigger in a carry-friendly format. The CZ 75 P-01 and similar hammer-fired compact variants are also popular carry options among shooters who prefer a traditional DA/SA manual of arms. Iowa’s constitutional carry law allows eligible residents to carry without a permit, making a quality CZ pistol a practical choice for Southwest Iowa carriers who appreciate the brand’s refined trigger feel and steel construction.
The CZ Shadow 2 is a competition-oriented semi-automatic pistol built on the CZ 75 platform, featuring a heavier steel frame for reduced muzzle flip, an enhanced trigger with a shorter reset, a wider magazine well for faster reloads, and other competition-focused refinements that make it one of the dominant platforms in IPSC Production and Standard division competition worldwide. The Shadow 2 is a popular choice among serious Iowa competitive shooters who want a factory pistol capable of performing at the highest levels of practical shooting competition without extensive custom gunsmithing.
The CZ 457 is a bolt action rimfire rifle chambered in .22 LR and .22 WMR that is widely regarded as one of the best out-of-the-box precision rimfire platforms available. Known for its adjustable trigger, cold hammer-forged barrel, and interchangeable barrel system that allows caliber switching without fitting a gunsmith, the 457 delivers the accuracy and quality that rimfire benchrest and precision competitors demand. For Iowa shooters who want an exceptional rimfire platform for competition, small game hunting, or affordable precision training, the CZ 457 is a benchmark choice at its price point.
The CZ Scorpion EVO is a semi-automatic pistol-caliber carbine chambered in 9mm, offering compact dimensions, reliable operation, and a broad aftermarket of accessories in a platform well suited for home defense, range training, and pistol-caliber carbine competition. The Scorpion’s 9mm chambering allows ammunition commonality with a 9mm carry pistol, and its folding stock or brace configurations make it a practical and enjoyable range platform. All Scorpion configurations comply with applicable federal regulations and Iowa’s lack of state-level assault weapons restrictions makes it fully accessible to eligible Iowa residents.
VanTon Arms carries factory and aftermarket magazines compatible with popular CZ-USA pistol and carbine platforms including the CZ 75 series, P-10 series, Shadow 2, and Scorpion EVO in standard and extended capacities.
