Caldwell Lead Sled Fire Control X-Treme (FCX) Shooting Rest – Advanced Recoil Reduction & Precision Alignment

The Caldwell Lead Sled Fire Control X-Treme (FCX) Shooting Rest represents the pinnacle of bench shooting technology, combining two of the most innovative rest systems ever developed into a single, high-performance platform. Whether you’re a competitive shooter, serious long-range enthusiast, or avid hunter zeroing in your rifle, the FCX delivers unmatched accuracy, comfort, and control.

Dual-Technology Performance

The FCX merges the legendary Lead Sled recoil reduction system with the revolutionary Fire Control precision alignment mechanism. Together, these technologies eliminate up to 95% of felt recoil while enabling fast, exact crosshair alignment — so every shot is fired from a position of total confidence and control.

Lead Sled Recoil Reduction

The Lead Sled system captures and efficiently transfers recoil energy from virtually any rifle, shotgun, or muzzleloader through the heavy-duty frame to the integrated weight tray. By dramatically reducing felt recoil, the FCX minimizes flinching, promotes smooth trigger pulls, and makes extended shooting sessions far more comfortable — all of which directly translate to improved downrange accuracy.

Fire Control Joystick Alignment Mechanism

The groundbreaking Fire Control mechanism uses a joystick-style control arm to achieve precise, multi-directional windage and elevation adjustments with a single, fluid movement. Move the control arm in any direction to perfectly align your crosshairs on target — and when released, the mechanism locks the rifle in that exact position. No more pushing, pulling, or leaning into the gun for final alignment. Just aim, lock, and squeeze.

• Provides approximately 5 feet of on-target adjustment at 100 yards
• 4 inches of coarse elevation adjustment at the rest
• Machined gears and racks for smooth, repeatable function

Built for Stability & Versatility

Engineered for serious shooters, the FCX features a cast aluminum and steel tube frame construction for maximum rigidity and long-term durability. An adjustable overall length and front cradle height adjustment provide the versatility to accommodate nearly any rifle, shotgun, or muzzleloader. The contoured rear support protects your gunstock’s finish during extended use.
