Knight & Hale Ol’ Yeller SLA-TEK Surface Turkey Pot Call – Walnut & Yellowheart Striker

Bring gobblers into gun range with the Knight & Hale Ol’ Yeller SLA-TEK Surface Turkey Pot Call — a handcrafted, U.S.A.-made pot call engineered for unmatched realism, reliability, and ease of use at every skill level.

The secret is in the triple-threat combination: a custom SLA-TEK ceramic striking surface, a rich walnut pot, and a two-piece yellowheart striker. Together, they give you full control over frequency, tone, raspiness, and clarity — so you can adapt on the fly to whatever conditions the field throws at you. Whether you’re laying down soft purrs to calm a hung-up tom or firing off aggressive cuts and cackles to pull in a stubborn gobbler, the Ol’ Yeller delivers the authentic, resonant sound that turkeys can’t resist.

**Key Features:**
– **Surface:** Custom SLA-TEK ceramic for superior friction, tone, and durability
– **Pot Material:** Premium walnut for warm, natural resonance
– **Striker:** Two-piece yellowheart for precise, responsive sound production
– **Calls Produced:** Clucks, purrs, cuts, cackles, and yelps
– **Includes:** Scouring pad for surface conditioning
– **Handmade in the U.S.A.**

**Pro Technique Tips:**
Condition the SLA-TEK surface with the included scouring pad before use. Hold the pot between your index finger and thumb away from your body. Grip the striker like a pencil at a 70-degree angle, resting your remaining fingers against the pot for stability. Use light pressure for the most natural tones. Work the upper third of the call for higher pitches — the center produces deeper, raspier tones perfect for close-range calling.

– **Yelp:** Short oval or circular motion in ½” lines, 5–7 times per sequence
– **Cluck:** Quick, straight ¼” lines with a sharp popping motion
– **Purr:** Slow, steady 1″ straight slide across the surface
– **Cut:** Fast ¼” straight lines in broken rhythm
– **Cackle:** Quick straight ¼” lines repeated 7–10 times
