Real Avid Bore-Max Smart Rod – .22 Cal 36″ One-Piece Carbon Fiber Cleaning Rod

Keep your .22 caliber barrel clean without risking damage to your rifling. The Real Avid Bore-Max Smart Rod is a premium one-piece, 36-inch carbon fiber cleaning rod engineered for both speed and safety. At its core, the internal Ultra Glide Ball Bearings allow the rod to rotate freely as you push it through the bore — meaning the rod naturally follows your barrel’s rifling twist rather than fighting against it, eliminating the risk of scratching or fouling your lands and grooves.

Real Avid completely reimagined the handle design with an ergonomic vertical grip that delivers superior leverage compared to traditional horizontal-style handles. Whether you’re running a patch or a bore brush through a long barrel, you’ll notice less strain on your hands and wrist during extended cleaning sessions.

Built from lightweight yet rigid carbon fiber, the Bore-Max Smart Rod resists flexing and won’t corrode or damage your bore’s finish the way cheaper steel or aluminum rods can. A standard 8-32 TPI thread pattern ensures compatibility with a wide range of cleaning accessories and attachments.
