Bore Tech Proof-Positive Bore Stix .243/.270 Cal 36″ Coated Cleaning Rod – Blue Handle

Elevate your rifle cleaning routine with the Bore Tech Proof-Positive Bore Stix for .243 Cal / 6mm / 6.5mm through .270 Cal in a full 36″ length. Engineered for precision and durability, these premium coated cleaning rods are widely regarded as the finest available on the market today.

At the heart of the Bore Stix is a caliber-specific, high-strength steel core that delivers exceptional rigidity, minimizing flex and bow during use. The steel core is finished with a proprietary low-friction, chemically resistant coating built to withstand years of heavy use with harsh solvents and copper removers.

The free-floating dual ball bearing handle ensures effortless rotation, allowing the rod to naturally follow the barrel’s rifling while keeping jags and brushes firmly threaded — eliminating the frustration of attachments loosening mid-clean. The color-coded blue handle provides a comfortable, non-slip rubber grip that protects your rifle stock and instantly identifies the correct rod for .243 to .270 caliber firearms.

A standout feature is the REPLACEABLE Proof-Positive tip — a non-brass, barrel-safe design that eliminates false copper fouling signals when using copper-removing cleaners. The female 8/32 thread tip accepts jags and brushes directly, removing the need for additional adapters, and its smooth, edge-free machining protects your crown during backstrokes.

Bonus: An exclusive barrel twist rate identification system using a simple index dot allows shooters to quickly determine their firearm’s twist rate right from the rod.
