Bore Tech Proof-Positive Rifle Jag – .20 Caliber, 5/40 Thread

The Bore Tech Proof-Positive Rifle Patch Jag in .20 Caliber with 5/40 threading is engineered for shooters who demand accurate results from their bore cleaning routine. Traditional brass jags contain over 60% copper in their composition, which reacts with copper-removing solvents to produce a false blue color on patches—even when the bore is already clean. Bore Tech eliminates this problem entirely with a proprietary non-brass alloy and secondary treatment process that is 100% brass-free and 100% barrel safe.

Despite being as soft as brass, this advanced alloy delivers exceptional tensile strength, resisting bending and snapping even under the pressure of a tight patch fit. The result is a jag that performs reliably cleaning after cleaning without compromising your barrel.

Key Features

• Dual Set of 4 Contact Rings: Precision-machined dual ring sets maximize patch contact and cleaning efficiency. The first ring in each set is rounded to self-center in the bore and prevent damage, while the three subsequent rings feature squared faces that grip the patch securely.
• Built-In Solvent Reservoir: The relief space between the dual ring sets retains fresh solvent, dispensing it ahead of the second ring set for continuous, effective cleaning on every pass.
• Caliber-Specific Length: Each jag is sized specifically for .20 caliber to match the correct patch size, preventing bunching and jamming at the tip of the cleaning rod.
• Reverse Taper Design: The reverse taper at the rear of the jag provides a smooth, edge-free transition when paired with Bore Tech Proof-Positive Bore Stix rods, helping to protect the firearm’s crown and center the rod on the return stroke.
• True Copper Detection: By going completely brass-free, this jag lets you know with confidence when your bore is genuinely copper-free—saving patches, solvent, and time.
