At the heart of the DP-15 is an 11.5″ Chrome Moly Vanadium barrel with a phosphate finish, M4 barrel extension, 1/7 twist rate, and a carbine-length gas system. A low-profile gas block keeps the profile clean beneath the DPMS 10.5″ Lightweight M-LOK handguard, offering ample accessory attachment points for lights, lasers, and foregrips. The barrel is threaded 1/2″x28 and crowned with an A2-style flash hider.

The full-auto profile bolt carrier group features a shot-peened Carpenter No. 158® steel bolt with a gas key hardened to USGI specifications, fastened with Grade 8 screws and staked per mil-spec — ensuring consistent cycling and long-term reliability.

The lower is finished with a Magpul MOE pistol grip, a DPMS Panther Polished Trigger (PPT) single-stage fire control group for a clean, crisp pull, and an SB Tactical SBA3 Pistol Stabilizing Brace mounted on a 6-position 7075-T6 buffer tube for adjustable fit and comfortable one-handed support.
