Ed Brown KC9 Lightweight 1911 9mm Pistol – 4″ Bull Barrel, Bobtail Frame, Black

The Ed Brown KC9 Lightweight is a masterclass in American 1911 craftsmanship, purpose-built for those who demand elite performance without unnecessary weight. Chambered in 9mm Luger and featuring a single-stack aluminum Bobtail frame, this handgun strikes an exceptional balance between all-day carry comfort and match-grade accuracy.

The 4″ slide has been thinned substantially for meaningful weight reduction, while the iconic Bobtail housing and forestrap receive Ed Brown’s exclusive Snakeskin treatment for a confident, non-slip grip. The 7-top custom cut slide features special front and rear serrations for enhanced control during manipulation, complemented by a fully supported bull barrel with a recessed crown for consistent, precision performance.

Sighting is handled by an easy-to-change orange HD XR front night sight paired with a redesigned smaller “Tactical Edge” U-notch rear sight — a combination optimized for fast target acquisition under any lighting condition. An external extractor ensures reliable cycling, and the guide rod with flat wire recoil spring system tames recoil for faster, more accurate follow-up shots.

Custom touches are standard: a recessed slide stop, flush barrel fit, slim grips, and a thumb safety round out this exceptional pistol. With a 9-round magazine capacity and a price that reflects true custom shop quality, the Ed Brown KC9 Lightweight is a serious investment for the serious shooter.
