Savage Arms Model 42 Takedown .22 WMR / .410 Bore Combo – FDE / Synthetic

The Savage Arms Model 42 Takedown is a uniquely versatile over/under combination rifle and shotgun, chambered in .22 WMR on top and .410 bore on the bottom. Finished in a rugged Flat Dark Earth (FDE) synthetic stock, this compact and lightweight two-in-one platform is purpose-built for small game hunting, pest control, survival applications, and backcountry carry. The takedown design allows the barrel assembly to separate from the receiver quickly and easily, making transport and storage exceptionally convenient. A single trigger operates both barrels, with a selector switch allowing the shooter to choose between the rifle or shotgun chamber. The ambidextrous synthetic stock is durable, weather-resistant, and built to handle the rigors of the field without the weight or maintenance demands of wood. Whether you’re heading into the woods for squirrel season or packing a versatile survival tool for a remote expedition, the Model 42 Takedown delivers reliable performance in a compact, packable package.
