VanTon Arms Shipping Policy

1. Purpose
This policy provides details on shipping methods, costs, processing times, and tracking information for all orders placed through VanTon Arms.
2. Shipping Options & Costs
- In-Store Pickup: Available for all items, including firearms. A $10 shipping fee applies for all in-store pickup orders.
- Direct to Customer: Items without serial numbers can be shipped directly to customers for a flat fee of $15.
- FFL Transfers: Firearms and other serialized items must be shipped to a verified Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer. If the item is first shipped to VanTon Arms and then transferred to another location, the customer is responsible for the UPS standard shipping fee.
3. Processing Times
Processing times for orders will vary depending on the distributor. Once an order is placed, the estimated processing times are as follows:
- In-Store Pickup: Once received from the distributor, the order will be ready within 1-2 business days.
- Direct to Customer Shipping: Once received from the distributor, items will ship within 1-3 business days.
- FFL Transfer Shipments: If the item ships to VanTon Arms before being transferred to another FFL, the total processing and shipping time will be based on the distributor plus an additional 1-3 business days for processing and outbound shipment.
4. Licensing & Compliance
- FFL Requirement: Firearms cannot be shipped directly to a customer and must be shipped to a licensed FFL dealer.
- FFL Verification: Customers must provide a valid FFL License Number at checkout. VanTon Arms will verify the license holder’s name and address before processing any firearm shipment.
- Acquisition & Disposition Records:
- Acquisition: All firearms received will be recorded in our Acquisition & Disposition Book with the following details:
- Manufacturer
- Model
- Serial Number
- Type
- Caliber
- Date Received
- Source (Our Distributors)
- Disposition: Firearms picked up or transferred will be recorded with:
- Date of Pickup
- Buyer’s Name (must match FFL records)
- Firearm Transfer Form # (Form 4473)
- Acquisition: All firearms received will be recorded in our Acquisition & Disposition Book with the following details:
5. Shipping Carriers & Requirements
- Approved Carriers: Firearms are shipped exclusively through carriers that comply with federal regulations, such as UPS and FedEx.
- Service Level: Handguns are shipped via Next Day Air services, and long guns via Ground Service, as per carrier policies.
- Packaging: All firearms are securely packaged without any indication of the contents, adhering to carrier guidelines.
6. International Shipping
- No international shipping is available. VanTon Arms only ships within the United States.
7. Tracking Information
- Once an order is shipped, a tracking number will be sent to the customer’s email from [email protected].
8. Package Protection & Insurance
- Customers can purchase package protection/insurance for $15 per order to cover lost or damaged shipments.
9. Lost or Damaged Shipments
- Without Insurance: VanTon Arms is not responsible for lost or damaged shipments if package protection was not purchased.
- With Insurance: For insured shipments, VanTon Arms will facilitate the claims process with the carrier.
10. Policy Updates
VanTon Arms reserves the right to modify this Shipping Policy at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website.
